The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of MRI physics, including MRI pulse sequence design and pulse programming with at least five years of post-doctoral experience in the development of novel MRI methods with a strong track record of innovation and publication in this domain. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include providing physics support for clinical research using novel magnetic resonance neuroimaging methods.

Applicant's effort will be divided between collaborative research and service within the MRI physics group in the Center for Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy in the Department of Radiology, which supports human research MRI. The successful candidate may also pursue independent research, though that is not a requirement.
