Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with leaders and cross-functional teams to foster the university's culture of operational improvement. Collaborates with senior leadership to oversee projects, validate outcomes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and implement new or revised processes for stakeholders. Responsibilities also encompass managing improvement projects and supervising team members as necessary. Facilitates the creation and documentation of policies and procedures related to process improvement. Advocates for Organizational Effectiveness services within the campus community.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collaborates with campus leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and develop responsive plans.
2. Leads cross-functional teams through the process of improvement journey, balancing interests and resources.
3. Provides consultation on other OE team projects as needed, offering guidance on process improvement elements.
4. Conducts comprehensive business process reviews to pinpoint areas for improvement and develop plans using process improvement frameworks like DMAIC.
5. Tailors process improvement approaches to align with client needs and available resources.
6. Creates and delivers documentation of new or revised processes at the conclusion of projects.
7. Supports the implementation of processes by providing or developing training on new or revised procedures as needed.
8. Identifies metrics to measure process efficacy and provides evidence of improvements or additional needs.
9. Promotes Organizational Effectiveness services through ad hoc presentations, general public training, and process improvement and documentation workshops.
10. Proposes innovative business and technical solutions to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall customer or student experience.
11. Investigates and identifies opportunities to establish standard procedures and best practices within the industry.
12. Acts as a subject matter expert, sharing industry and trade best practices.
13. Oversees all process improvement projects, tracks project plans, collaborates with project leads to ensure timely completion, and provides monthly reports to senior management.
14. Ensures the success of process improvement projects, intervening as necessary to adjust.
15. Supports the creation of policies and procedures that foster continuous improvement.
16. Educates and trains in process management methodologies, problem-solving, and prevention techniques.
17. Conducts special studies and coordinates projects to improve processes and practices at Kennesaw State University.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in business or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Other Required Qualifications
At least one of the following certifications or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire
Yellow Belt in Lean, Six Sigma, Process Management Professional Certification
Project Management Certification
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience in process improvement, encompassing managing large-scale projects, applying lean quality improvement methodologies, and collecting and analyzing project data

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Proposed Salary
The minimum of the salary range is $69,280. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
