Job Summary:
This position will provide scheduling, meetings, program support and event coordination. The Business Services Professional will collaborate with Division leaders, faculty and staff to ensure the administration of tasks is on track, in terms of time frame, budget, data and compliance with the rules and regulations of the University of Colorado (CU) School of Medicine (SOM), Department of Medicine (DOM). Other administrative and technical duties as assigned by the Division Chief and the Division Administrator.
This position serves as a liaison, independently interprets, and coordinates administrative needs, interprets policies and procedures pertaining to administrative operations and makes recommendations relative to programs, funds, resources and recruiting. Additionally, this role provides excellent internal/external customer service at all levels and establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with CU SOM, and DOM faculty, staff, administration and well as UCHealth personnel and affiliates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Division Chief's schedule - this position must be intimately involved in the day-to-day use of the Division Chief's time while keeping in mind all specific directions given by the Division Chair. Prioritizing appointment requests is a key component to this position. This position may also involve the same duties for several key faculty leaders.
- Oversee the Division Chief's business-related travel - this includes preparing itineraries, making reservations, solving travel challenges and processing reimbursement and travel expenses in a timely manner.
- Provide professional level administrative support to include agendas for Senior Leadership/ Executive meetings, coordinate logistics, take meeting minutes, track action items, and prepare presentation materials including developing PowerPoint presentations.
- Provide project oversite and management of weekly tumor board, grand rounds and monthly faculty meeting.
- Support program-related initiatives and endeavors.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Minimum Qualifications:
Entry Level:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Intermediate Level:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
- One (1) year of experience with high level business administration.
Senior Level:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Two (2) years of experience with high level business administration.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a higher education or academic medical center setting.
- Experience directly supporting senior leadership of an organization.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Experience handling multiple (3-4) schedules at one time for senior leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Entry Level: $49,974 - $63,567
Intermediate Level: $54,383 - $69,175
Senior Level: $58,793 - $74,784
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
