Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of financial aid-related information reports. Duties include the development and maintenance of reports from the student financial aid information system as needed by the Financial Aid Office, Enrollment Management, and other University Administrative offices, as well as University centers, colleges and academic departments.

The position ensures timely and accurate access to financial aid data. This role is also responsible for safeguarding the security of data and its appropriate use within delivered reports.

In addition, the individual in this position will provide technology support for the Financial Aid Office as directed by the Director. The position requires collaborative work with other campus offices to ensure excellent reporting services and alignment with institutional goals.

Required Experience:
  • Experience designing programs and performing analysis
  • Experience writing in one or more commonly used programming languages (e.g., Pro*C, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML) or in 4th generation languages appropriate for multi-use/multi-tasking environments
  • Experience with data security standards

Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with reporting tools, similar to Argos
  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience in testing and debugging IT systems
  • Experience in interacting effectively with users to perform system design analysis
  • Experience in writing application system documentation
  • Experience writing IT programming specifications
  • Experience in choosing appropriate platforms
  • Experience with Oracle databases and the SQL query language
  • Experience with Ellucian Higher Education Banner or another student information system
  • Experience in higher education, specifically a financial aid office
  • Familiarity with database concepts
  • Ability to analyze complex concepts and solve complex problems
