Job Title: Information Technology Professional
This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 9-months.
Job Summary:
Jobs in this career family develop, maintain, and support computer systems, software and networks. Functions include enterprise operations, distributed computing, academic computing, research computing, computer hardware and software management, computer and compensation, job evaluation, performance and leave management, employee training/development, reward and recognition, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits, employee records/information, and payroll.
Professionals at the entry level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.
At the entry level, duties are limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals and are performed in a training and development capacity.
This position will be a 9-month, temporary member of a team that is responsible for providing desktop information technology support for departments within the School of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers (PC and Mac).
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and systems to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Interacting with users to determine problems, analyze situations, identify the source of the problems, determine appropriate solutions and take proper actions required to solve the problems.
- Performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and training tasks to ensure optimal computer performance and user experience.
- Windows 11 Rollout
- Assist IT Professionals with upgrading compatible computers to Windows 11.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise from upgrades.
- Assist with replacing, configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying computers that are not compatible with Windows 11
- Work with customers to develop exception plans for computers that are not compatible with Windows 11.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing desktop support and customer service.
- Experience working with a wide range of computer systems.
- Experience providing hand on technical training and support to users.
- Experience supporting information technologies in an academic environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The hiring rate for this position has been established at $26.44 / hour. The above salary rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.
