Job Summary
The Transfer Evaluation Coordinator will work closely with university staff and faculty to establish, maintain, and award appropriate Augusta University credit for all undergraduate credit earned elsewhere, including accredited colleges and universities, military service, and tests such as AP and CLEP. Acting as the primary processor of this credit, the Admissions Transfer Evaluation Coordinator will collaborate closely with colleagues across campus to provide accurate and timely evaluations of student credit. They will also provide a student-focused customer service approach in understanding University System of Georgia policies, Augusta University's processes and systems, and provide training to others at the university.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
TRANSFER CREDIT PROCESSING: Process and load transfer credit for all degree-seeking undergraduate applicants to the university, including technical college, college and university credit, military service training and experiences, and credit by exam eligible scores. Identifies Georgia CPC and graduation legislative requirement completions.
ESTABLISH NEW TRANSFER EQUIVALENCIES: Communicates and coordinates with faculty and staff from academic colleges to determine equivalencies for new transfer credit, including evaluation of how courses fit within the USG Core IMPACTS curriculum.
CAPCITY LIMITED REVIEW: Communicates and coordinates with faculty and staff regarding capacity-limited programs to provide accurate credit articulations, determine core curriculum completion, and help programs conduct thorough, timely review of student applicants to the university's highly selective programs.
ADMISSIBILITY EVALUATION: Ensures that student applicants meet admissions criteria and requirements in regular evaluation processes. Creates, monitors, and utilizes queries and reports to ensure student applicants are served fairly in an accurate and timely manner.
OTHER DUTIES: Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with 1 year experience related to customer service, enrollment management, credit evaluation, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to individuals with experience in BANNER, Slate, Reporting systems, transfer articulation or other student information systems.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Grade: B7
Salary: $20.28/hourly - $21.25/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment

If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
