In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
The Manager of Educational Technology Innovations within the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Western University of Health Sciences leads and supports a team of educational innovators. Reporting to the AVP/Director of CETL, the Manager oversees the development and implementation of cutting-edge academic technology solutions, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), mixed reality (AR/VR/XR), mobile app development, 3D printing, digital rendering, and educational videography. This position is knowledgeable with principles of instructional design and apply educational theories to ensure that technological innovations are pedagogically sound and effectively enhance the educational outcomes. This role collaborates with faculty, subject matter experts (SMEs), and IT to enhance the teaching and learning experience through innovative technology solutions. Additionally, the Manager actively participates in research initiatives, contributes to grant applications, presents and both national and international conferences, and authors manuscripts and research dedicated to innovative technology to further the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).

- Leadership skills to motivate, inspire, and provide guidance and direction to team members.
- Profound understanding of current and emerging educational technologies, including AI, AR/VR/XR, mobile app development, and 3D printing.
- Extensive knowledge of adult learner needs and instructional design principles, and how to apply educational theories to ensure technological innovations enhance educational outcomes.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on the latest advancements in educational technology.
- Strong project management skills, capable of overseeing the development and implementation of complex educational technology projects.
- Familiarity with the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and experience in conducting educational research.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to represent the university and its projects to a global audience and to foster partnerships.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with faculty, SMEs, IT staff, and other stakeholders to create innovative instructional components.

1. Education: Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree or any combination, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
