Job Summary

This position specializes in the collection, maintenance, and editing of administrative and curriculum data used to produce the University Catalog. Ensures all material and content meet established University standards of appearance and content. Serves as a subject matter expert in institutional processes and procedures pertaining to the University Catalog and provides advice regarding its design and use. This position also shares responsibility for maintaining all academic course information in the institution's student information system (SIS). This includes ensuring smooth scheduling processes in collaboration with colleagues in the office of the provost, academic departments, and schedulers. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, effective communication skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively with campus partners.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a resource for information and training for end-users regarding scheduling, curriculum, catalog, and academic policy on various technological platforms; develop a strong, collaborative, well-informed community of course schedulers across the University
  • Collaborate with academic departments schedulers as needed, to articulate clear processes and standards for creating and overseeing the Schedule of Classes each term including course data entry
  • Ensure accuracy of all course listings including comments, fees, and fee codes, all restrictions, pre-requisites, waitlist, course descriptions, and other course specifics by auditing all course information against the university course catalogs
  • Create and run analytical reports to identify discrepancies in course information, room conflicts, and other pertinent information related to the schedule of classes
  • Enter and maintain all East Georgia State College at Statesboro classes
  • Advise colleges and departments in the area of curriculum revisions; serve as a point of contact for colleges and departments on curriculum matters
  • Review submitted academic course and program curricular change proposals to ensure compliance with University policies and proactively identify potential problem issues with the submission


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of administrative support experience


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred Experience
  • One (1) to two (2) years of administrative support experience in higher education
  • Experience with Banner student information system database and/or Ad Astra schedule software a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe InDesign, Banner, Google Suites, and/or Modern Campus Curriculum software


Proposed Salary

$37,684 - $41,568

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
