Primary Purpose of Position:
This is a professional, non-instructional position supporting University College. Reporting to the Dean of University College, this position will provide direction in the development, coordination, and administration of the Aspiring Eagles Academy program.
Minimum Education/Experience:
This position requires a Master's degree or advanced degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in college administration, event planning, and program development; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Experience at a four-year institution is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A strong record of creative problem solving, including strategic thinking and planning, is required. Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.Ability to perform in a high degree of judgment, diplomacy, and discretion and to make difficult and timely decisions with integrity. Proficiency with the EAB Navigate platform is desired.Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and families to support undergraduate students through difficult and complicated situations. Experience managing student crises effectively and collaboratively. Demonstrated success supporting students from historically underrepresented and/or minoritized backgrounds is required. Skills, knowledge and experience specifically focused on the needs of students of color, first-generation college students, LGBTQ students, international students, students from diverse faith communities is preferred. Ability to use technology in the delivery of services and case management; agility and familiarity with latest software, database systems, computer literacy.Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
