The Program Manager will manage the BU branch of the Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition program (CELT), a new initiative in collaboration with the state of Massachusetts, the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML), and other university and industry partners. CELTs mission is to assist the state of Massachusetts in its clean energy transition through data analytics, workforce training, and assistance to municipalities. The Program Manager will be responsible for the development, planning, strategy, programming, communication, implementation, and assessment of CELT, working under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Program Manager will cultivate critical relationships, develop and maintain communication with our partners across government, non-governmental, and private sector organizations, as well as faculty and staff across departments and units at BU and at UML.

Required Skills

Required:
  • A Masters or other terminal degree in a related field, such as MA, MS, MPH, MBA, MSW, or JD
  • At least three years of experience in municipal, corporate and/or academic sustainability program management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with data used to analyze and communicate about, energy, climate, equity, health, and other sustainability challenges.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work with a large and diverse group of collaborators.
  • Foundational knowledge in the sustainability challenges facing states and municipalities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills


Preferred:
  • Experience in municipal sustainability or energy management Demonstrated project management experience, including project management software.
  • Experience in or with government and nonprofit organizations.
