Scope of Responsibility
To provide employee training through the University's compliance program, to facilitate the monitoring of compliance on a University-wide basis, to report on compliance issues and participate in the Enterprise Risk Management process.
Position Information
Hiring Department: Office of Institutional Compliance
Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.
Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: 1/27/2025
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

The primary accountabilities are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.
Purpose of Position
Position Summary
Manages the Institutional Compliance Training Program and collaborates with responsible parties in developing training modules to address areas of need and risk; reviews the adequacy of the training programs offered by responsible parties to ensure risk areas are addressed; provides guidance on modules submitted for on-line compliance training, facilitates detailed annual review of Spanish and English training modules, and develops alternate training mechanisms as needed. Collaborates with multiple areas within the institution to ensure training and education of compliance risks are addressed.
Essential Functions
Ensures compliance awareness training is assigned to faculty, staff and student employees and sends proper notifications; reviews training courses, techniques and materials to determine their effectiveness.
Maintains departmental training system, which consists of updating information, verifying data for accuracy and generating reports.
Maintains the departmental database to track and facilitate the distribution of monthly notices to employees regarding completion of training requirements.
Conducts research as needed, regarding employee training history, employment information, and develops specialized reports as requested.
Assists with the revisions and updates to the University Standards of Conduct Guide.
Maintains and updates departmental website.
Assists with additional compliance initiatives as needed.
Maintains confidential files.
Serves on various committees as assigned or required.
Uses initiative and judgment to handle various routine matters.
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information privy to this position.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software specifically PowerPoint and Access and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university within area of assigned responsibility
and
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency with quantitative analysis tools.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong management, relationship building and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
