Job Summary:
The position is responsible for the full spectrum of surgical oncology diseases. Will participate in medical student, resident and fellow education as well as research and scholarly activity commensurate with qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- All aspects of complex surgical oncology surgery
- Education of students, residents and fellows
- Development of a cancer focused research program
- Scholarly activities related to surgical oncology
- Scope of work will span both the Anschutz Medical Campus
- Cholangiocarcinoma specialty
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor
- MD/DO
- Board certified in General Surgery (or equivalent)
- Surgical Oncology (or equivalent) Fellowship
- CO Medical license or license eligible
- Experience specialzing in Cholangiocarcinoma/pancreatic surgery for 3 years
Associate Professor
- MD/DO
- Board certified in General Surgery (or equivalent)
- Surgical Oncology (or equivalent) Fellowship
- CO Medical license or license eligible
- Experience specialzing in Cholangiocarcinoma and pancreatic surgery for 3 years
- Existing rank as Assistant Professor for 3 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Assistant Professor
- Experience with robotic surgery
- Experience with liver and pancreatic surgery
- Experience with surgical oncology
- Broad experience with clinical paper authorship with minimum of 50 publications
Associate Professor:
- Expert in robotic surgery
- Demonstrated success with clinical paper authorship via minimum of 5 publications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Both ranks):
- Excellent communication skills
- Clinical expertise in the full spectrum of surgical oncology diseases
- Successful background in research and scholarly activities

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE
Assistant Professor: $268,145 - $320,000
Associate Professor: $328,422 - $392,387
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
