Job Summary

Provides diversified and advanced administrative support of a confidential nature to an executive at the level of dean, associate vice president, or above. Acting with minimal supervision, the position anticipates the executive's needs, proactively solves problems, and/or independently handles issues. Functions are performed independently and with discretion.

Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative assistance to the executive, including responsibilities such as managing calendars, composing correspondence, editing presentations, and handling travel arrangements
  • Serves as the executive's liaison to various constituents through correspondence, phone, and in-person contact and occasionally may represent the executive at meetings
  • Monitors, reconciles, and assists with budgets and other fiscal administration for the unit, including but not limited to funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, and/or purchasing; may have decision making authority for budgeting
  • Oversees and administers the day-to-day activities of the office; develops policies, procedures, and systems which ensure productive and efficient office operation
  • Coordinates a wide variety of projects, such as events, conferences, and meetings, and follows through with officials and individuals within and outside the university on behalf of the executive
  • Collects information, conducts research, and prepares materials for use in discussions/meetings of the executive, other staff, and outside individuals or for decision-making purposes
  • Maintains confidential information relating to the executive's office
  • May supervise administrative staff


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • One (1) or more years related experience


Proposed Salary

$22.36 - $24.03 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a bi-weekly basis.
