Job Summary

The Recruitment Specialist will serve as a member of the recruitment team and will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students to Georgia Southern University. This position will work with all student types seeking enrollment on all campuses, but will provide the most support for those enrolling at the Liberty Campus. Additionally, this role will provide additional support for military-connected students and partnerships with Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The position will include frequent travel between the Armstrong and Liberty campuses as well as travel to area high schools and military installations. Additionally, the position will assist with varied duties as a member of the Admissions team. The Specialist will consistently exhibit service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically plan and implement recruitment efforts to meet enrollment goals for a set geographic territory of new freshman students and undergraduate students on Liberty Campus
  • Assist in on-post coverage and recruitment events at Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield in collaboration with Military & Veteran Services
  • Encourage, promote, and maintain favorable relations with school counselors and other educators
  • Maintain regular correspondence with prospective students by telephone, email, text, and handwritten notes
  • Assist assigned students in navigating the full enrollment process, including but not limited to admission, enrollment, financial aid, military benefits, etc.
  • Assist with various marketing activities, applicant file evaluation and a variety of other recruitment-related activities
  • Travel extensively within the Liberty territory and to the Liberty Campus to attend and present at college fairs, high schools, admission events and other community events to recruit for Georgia Southern University


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a college admissions or enrollment office
  • Experience working with military populations


Proposed Salary

$45,000 - $48,000

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis
