Key Responsibilities
- The primary role of this position is to Perform high volume, high quality, spay/neuter surgeries on pediatric to geriatric patients at the East Valley Spay/Neuter Clinic in Los Angeles.

- Participating in the development of the Shelter Medicine Program in the College


Key Responsibilities
- Provide wellness and preventive medicine services in a caring and compassionate environment for a diverse population of animals and animal owners.


Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with city Animal Services personnel in regards to the health and welfare of animals residing in shelter facilities


Key Responsibilities
- Engage the larger animal shelter, rescue, and welfare communities to improve the lives on animals through innovative programs and educational opportunities


Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe and effective learning environment for student learning


Key Responsibilities
- Design and supervise student clinical training experiences in a high paced clinical environment


Key Responsibilities
- Participate, as appropriate, in the delivery of the DVM curriculum


Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of graduate training programs in shelter medicine


Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of client and community education programs focusing on preventive medicine, the human-animal bond, pet overpopulation, and other topics designed to sustain healthy pets in homes and out of the shelter system

- Participating in local, national, and/or international continuing education programs
