Essential Job Duties

Essential Job Duties

Key Responsibilities

Feeds and waters animals.
Changes animal caging as scheduled, sanitizing rooms, equipment and hallways.
Assists investigators and veterinarians in performing routine and specialized procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Administers prescribed medications.
Maintains accurate animal health records.
Provides pre- and post- surgical care of animals. Conducts daily animal health checks.

Key Responsibilities

Establishes, monitors and maintains non-animal and animal inventories.

Ensures that activities are in compliance with AAALAC standards.

Orders laboratory supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

Assigns work activities of less experienced Lab Animal Technicians.

May lead or guide the work of student employees.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
