Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Strategy and New Programs in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS), the Assistant Director of the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Program facilitates the administration and advising of the program as outlined in the essential functions.
The program provides pre-health candidates with the opportunity to take aspirant program prerequisites. Additional responsibilities include supporting projects associated with additional programs in the Allied Health Professions area.
This position requires travel between campuses.

Position Summary

Essential Functions
- Provides academic advice to current pre-medical and pre-health students.
- Provides new student intake and academic advising.
- Guides students through meeting both academic and career-related aspirant program admissions.
- Collaborates with PCS Admissions and all departments as necessary throughout the University.
- Serves on the committee of the Health Professions program and performs the following duties:
- Vets applications
- Conducts information sessions
- Manages files (Blackboard site, interview packets, student status tracking)
- Chairs committee interviews
- Writes committee letters
- Addresses student inquiries
- Manages documents and uploads to centralized application systems (AMCAS, etc.)
- Presents program overview at post-baccalaureate information sessions and express admissions day.
- Assists with post-baccalaureate course schedule each semester.
- Works with Fordham College academic departments to approve Fordham College of Rose Hill and Lincoln Center undergraduate PCS science course requests.
- Works with Associate Dean on enhanced post-baccalaureate student communications and support.

- Supports for post-baccalaureate student events (workshops, panels, medical school presentations)
- Assists with operational and program administration in the area of Allied Health professions as directed
- Researches as needed (e.g., marketplace trends)
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Master €™s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a higher education setting
- Minimum of 3 years of student advising
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to and between multiple campus locations as required
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity and experience with STEM academic programs
- Experience with STEM careers and aspirant programs
- Familiarity and experience working with pre-medical and/or pre-health students
