Job Description:
Function & Scope:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Pre-Award, this position is responsible for the administrative support of sponsored program awards for the System Administration Sponsored Programs Office (SPO), Research Foundation Central Office (RFCO), and campus activities. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining awards in the Oracle Business System, ensuring accurate entry and coding in the RF Business Systems, and assisting the Assistant Director of Pre-Award and the Contract and Grant Manager in the processing of sponsored awards. The Grant Coordinator will resolve issues regarding award setup and provide support and communication on the status of sponsored program activity including all revisions to awards. The successful incumbent will interpret and adhere to Research Foundation and sponsored guidelines and work under tight and competing deadlines. Working in a cross-functional team environment, the Grant Coordinator will take a proactive and strategic approach within all activities while providing quality customer service to both internal and external constituents. Duties include but are not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely establishment and maintenance of all awards.
- Perform data entry using the Oracle Business System.
- Manage the award establishment workflow in the Pre Award Compliance System (PACS).
- Produce and review Account Information Abstracts and communicate with the SPO team and campus staff.
- Work with the Contracts and Grants Manager to ensure the payroll process runs on continuation awards.
- Serve as the AE point of contact with campuses, and internal colleagues to gather information and/or discuss and resolve issues and inquiries.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Pre-Award on all project activity related to AE while supporting the team to enhance customer service and increase operational efficiency.
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters teamwork and cooperation.
- Maintain electronic documents and internal workflows in a shared network drive.
- Other duties and special assignments as assigned by the Assistant Director of Pre-Award.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree required with a Bachelor's degree preferred and 1-2 years progressive experience in financial, accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills with a supportive approach in all levels of correspondence.
- Ability to work independently under general direction.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing environment.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all work activities.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and be solution-oriented.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a deadline-orientated environment while maintaining accuracy in all work activities.
- Must be able to use various computer software applications.
- Familiar with Excel and excellent math skills.
- Experience with Oracle Business Systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Research Foundation policies and procedures preferred.
Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is between $58,500 to $69,719. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
