The Department of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Lecturer A in Syntax/Semantics for the 2023-2024 academic year. The successful candidate will teach four courses, including LING 5520 Syntax II, the second semester of the introductory graduate syntax sequence. The University of Pennsylvania is home to a vibrant interdisciplinary community of experts from around the world that study language across several departments. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will participate in the intellectual life of the department and of this broader community of language researchers at Penn.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Linguistics completed before the start date, with a specialization in syntax and/or the syntax-semantics interface.
