We are searching for an experienced Part-time Faculty, LVN Clinical at our Santa Maria Campus facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
LVN Clinical Faculty
This is a part-time, faculty position in the LVN program. The assignment may include teaching evening and weekend classes at any college site.
The instructor will provide clinical instruction in long term care and acute care sites; evaluate student performance; schedule and organize clinical learning activities; participate in department and college activities; maintain grade and attendance records according to college regulations; and perform related tasks as required.
Special Qualification: A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and to staff and students with disabilities.
In its desire to select outstanding faculty members from the largest possible pool of qualified applicants, Allan Hancock College recognizes candidates may have attained expertise in a discipline through a variety of means. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the district as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications.

Qualifications
1. Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse; and
2. Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school; OR a valid teaching credential; OR have completed a minimum of one year full-time teaching experience in a state accredited or approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or met community college or state university teaching requirements in California;
and
3. Have a minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse or licensed
vocational nurse within the last five years.
and
4. Shall have or be currently attending a course offered by an accredited school
in teaching.
