Job Description Summary
Job Description
The Building Administrator is a full-time, live-in position with multiple roles and responsibilities, which assumes primary responsibility for the daily operation of two or more residential buildings managed by Housing Services. This operation is a 7 day week, 24 hours per day including all University recognized holidays. Additional summer responsibilities may include the management of service delivery operations in our conference operations. This position is designated as "essential" and the successful applicant will be expected to work when normal campus operations are suspended or if there is an emergency impacting on-campus residents. The Building Administrator will live in an identified on-campus apartment provided by the department in order to serve in an on-call capacity.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is required and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires experience in facilities related services in a university or large residential complex or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge and experience with building systems and infrastructure. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at same time. Competency with variety of computer applications: word processing, spreadsheets, data base, web applications required. Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.
