Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating effective marketing campaigns for programs and conferences, including various educational conferences, professional development/career training certification courses, customized training for business and industry, youth camps, and personal enrichment/lifelong learning programs. Duties include designing marketing collateral for both digital platforms and print media. This position will also be responsible for analyzing and using data to continuously improve marketing outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement marketing plans for conferences and programs, including professional development, personal enrichment/lifelong learning, and youth
  • Support the mission and strategic initiatives of the University and the Division
  • Create graphics, illustrations, and layouts for marketing deliverables, such as webpages, social media, email, catalogs, programs, flyers, posters, brochures, and newsletters
  • Develop, implement, and analyze the performance of paid and unpaid social media campaigns on various platforms
  • Create, maintain, and analyze the performance of webpages
  • Assist program/conference planners in setting enrollment goals. Track registrations as they come in and update the marketing plan as needed to ensure enrollment goals are met
  • Manage the Division's digital marketing platform and contact lists for targeted marketing campaigns
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media, email marketing, and website management best practices and technologies
  • Adhere to the university's social media and marketing guidelines


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • One (1) or more years of work experience in marketing or a related field


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in marketing or related field

Preferred Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of work experience in marketing


Proposed Salary

$43,067 - $53,834 annually

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

  • Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
  • Ability to write engaging and professional content for marketing campaigns and be results-oriented
  • Ability to create and maintain high-quality websites, social media posts, email marketing campaigns, and print marketing collateral
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

KNOWLEDGE
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
  • Proficient in graphic design/illustration software, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in using various social media platforms to reach and effectively engage with targeted audiences
  • Good understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media key performance indicators

SKILLS
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficient photography and short video production and editing skills
