Posting Context Statement:
The Deep Soil Ecotron (DSE) facility is unlike any soil research facility in the United States, and unique in the world. This facility will have the deepest soil depths of any current Ecotron facility with the capacity to house soil profiles up to 3m deep, it will offer a significantly higher degree of replication than any other U.S. Ecotron facility (i.e., 24 EcoUnits), it will enable researchers to alter a range of experimental parameters associated with the above- and belowground components of these systems, and it will be equipped with the most modern instrumentation, enabling unprecedented, continuous monitoring of deep soils.

Position Overview:
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.

Duties may include:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
  • Coordinate a team with a variety array of talents and responsibilities
  • Collect, compile and summarize program data for reports
  • Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
  • Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
  • Active participation in the development and submission of program proposals
  • Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data
  • May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:
  • Two years of program coordination or program management experience
  • Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
  • Collecting, compiling, summarizing and analyzing data for administrative reports

Required Education:
  • Bachelors Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelors Degree

Required Other:
  • None


Additional Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, English, and related fields
  • Masters Degree in related field
  • Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Experience with project or program management, and certification
  • Experience supervising others
  • Experience processing financial transactions and compiling routine management reports
