The Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-year position in Italian Studies at the Visiting Assistant Professor level for the Academic Year 2025/2026 (with possibility of renewal). The appointment begins August, 2025. We seek a teacher-scholar with a Ph.D. in Italian Studies or a related field. Candidate must possess native or near-native fluency in Italian and English. Applicants must have experience in language instruction and should demonstrate a strong interest in language pedagogy and teaching methodologies. The successful candidate should also show a proven commitment to liberal arts education. Teaching responsibilities will include Italian language courses at all levels and courses in literature and/or culture taught in English and Italian. The teaching load is three courses per term semester. In addition to teaching three courses per semester, the successful candidate will participate in service activities at the program and department levels.
