Position Summary
The Elon Academy, part of the Elon University Center for Access and Success, is a non-profit college access and success program for academically promising high school students in Alamance County with financial need and/or no family history of college. Reporting to the Director of the Elon Academy, the Associate Director will be primarily responsible for program development which includes, but is not limited to: Program planning, collaboration and partnership development, assessment, communications, and marketing. The Associate Director will also support student employment and leadership initiatives, in addition to developing and overseeing a comprehensive family program.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Master's degree in Education or related field with minimum 3 years of experience with the following relevant work experience in fields of public education, higher education, equity and diversity, and college access and success.
Job Duties
- Program Development: - Collaborate with the Director to design and implement Elon Academy programming initiatives focused on student success, including but not limited to the Summer Academy and Saturday Academy - Oversee logistics and event planning processes related to on- and off-campus activities - Collaborate with other Elon Academy team members in all phases of the program including, but not limited to, recruitment and scholar support - Develop partnerships with key internal stakeholders and community members to elevate the program - Create communication and marketing efforts including web, print, social media, newsletters, etc. - Conduct ongoing assessment to develop an annual comprehensive 360 program and course evaluations
- Family Programs: - Develop comprehensive annual programs designed to educate and empower scholars' family members as they support their scholars throughout the program - Partner with the Center for Access and Success Coordinator for Well-Being to provide holistic support to Scholars and their families - Oversee all communication efforts for families including regular newsletters, updates, reminders, etc.
- Supervision & Student Leadership Development: - Supervise the Elon Academy Graduate Apprentice, student interns, and student employees - Provide support to the Elon Academy Graduate Apprentice with student leadership and employment initiatives including the recruitment, selection, training, development, supervision, and evaluation for Academic Coaches, College Access Team Mentors, Summer Mentors, Office Assistants, and more - Support the high school Junior Scholars cohort throughout the summer program and academic year
- Additional Administrative Responsibilities: - Establish connections with Elon Academy alumni amplify opportunities for them to continue to engage with Elon Academy - Maintain a database of college graduates and manage LinkedIn page for college scholars and alum to stay connected to the program and learn about opportunities - Collaborate with Elon Academy and Center for Access and Success staff members - Attend and present at professional forums and conferences regionally and nationally as appropriate - Stay informed of changing policies, challenges, and opportunities for undocumented students and other underserved populations to best advise these scholars - Develop a strong network with the Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS), the University, and community agencies in support of the program - Partner with the Director to increase the visible presence of Elon Academy at Elon University, in the community, and nationally. - Perform other duties as assigned
