(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Student-Athlete Success Services staff with projects and clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing front desk, and responding to student requests via phone, email, and in-person
2. Assists assigned caseload of student-athletes with development of academic competency skills in time & course management, reading & note-taking, writing, studying & test-taking, and executive functioning & self-efficacy
3. Assists SASS staff with reports and communication sent to coaching staff
4. Assists with student-athlete development workshops and events

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*:
' Strong foundation in academic competency skills and demonstrated ability to teach those skills to others
' Excellent communication and attention to detail
' Proficiency with computer applications such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc)

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
' Post-secondary degree in education, sports management, counseling, or related field
' Experience working with student-athletes and/or adult learners in an academic setting
' Experience in NCAA Division-I athletics program
' Knowledge of educational regulations (FERPA, HIPPA, IDEA, ADA, 504, etc.)
' Knowledge of NCAA compliance and eligibility regulations

Job Summary

Provides support to leadership, coaches, staff and students within the Athletics Department.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties related to athletics
2. Provides support to assigned unit, staff, coaching staff, student-athletes or external partners
3. May assist with set up and break down of on and off-campus events and promotions

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
One (1) year of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Post-secondary degree in education, sports management, counseling, or related field

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $15.00 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience

Complies with all NCAA, A-Sun Conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules, and regulations
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquet
