What We Are Looking For
This position provides support within academic support services at Baylor University, and is responsible for:
- Teaching study skills, organizational skills, and reviewing class materials
- Supporting students with transitional skills related to academics
- Supplementing course instruction to assist with mastering content, navigating assignments, and preparing for assessments.
The ability to interact with a range of constituents including student-athletes and Athletics staff. The ideal candidate should have prior teaching and/or tutoring experience.
A Bachelor's Degree and a Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience are preferred. This position is a Part-Time position.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Commit to the full semester and final exam week.
- Abide by all SACE study hall policies
- Attend all SACE trainings and meetings
- Maintain academic integrity and abide by NCAA regulations in all sessions
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with SACE by communicating in email and in person about student-athlete's academic progress
- Comply with all NCAA and Baylor policies
- Assist students in a designated academic subject or discipline as needed
- Foster educational growth and development; identify educational needs and provide assistance as necessary
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- Provide information and excellent customer service to constituents
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Monitor Study Hall
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
