Primary Purpose of Organization Unit:

Primary Purpose of Position:
This position will ensure the UNC Pembroke Sexual Violence Prevention and Advocacy Program meets the expectations of the U.S. Department of Justice and other stakeholders. The position will also maintain awareness of the program's objectives and coordinate with internal (campus) and external (community) partners to ensure the program is providing coordinated and effective services.
Job Description:
Work with the university's Office of Title IX and Clery Compliance and the Office of Counseling and Psychological Services to enhance the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) with internal and external partners. Work with internal and external partners, to provide targeted education programming on issues of sexual violence to incoming students (transfer and freshmen) and Native American students and employees.
Work with the university's Office of Title IX and Clery Compliance and the Office of Counseling and Psychological Services to enhance their comprehensive victim services program. Create comprehensive educational materials (handouts, flyers, etc.) and programming for student and employee training sessions on sexual violence prevention. Recruit and supervise graduate assistants.
Coordinate with UNC Pembroke Graduate Office staff to maintain a potential hiring pool. Maintain the ability to assist in creating and managing OVW budget and administration of grant funds. Be prepared to write and submit progress and annual reports to the Associate Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). Collaborate with UNCP internal partners and external partners, Southeastern Family Violence Center, Rape Crisis Center of Robeson County, and Town of Pembroke's Police Department, in their work to provide educational programming and resources for students and employees, particularly victims/survivors.
Facilitate increased coordination between campus and community resources to strengthen coordinated services. Maintain dates, locations, participants, and trainers for all university student and employee training sessions on sexual violence prevention. Work with the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs, provide oversight for the program and work with internal and external partners to ensure that all goals and objectives of the program are met. Ensure that all activities are professionally and ethically performed in accordance with the grant, university policies, and law to protect the individual rights of participants.
This is a grant-funded, time-limited position through September 30, 2025.
