Augusta University College of Nursing has excellent opportunities for nurses to be part of an innovative partnership that has been developed between the East Central Regional Hospital and Augusta University. East Central Regional Hospital is a state operated psychiatric facility with two campuses. The Augusta Campus is a psychiatric hospital that provides care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The Gracewood Campus is an ICF/IID and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) that provides care and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nurses will be part of an inter-professional, psychiatric/mental health team that includes staff and advanced practice nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and direct care staff. Augusta University College of Nursing's partnership with East Central Regional Hospital will provide you with the opportunity to work in a variety of areas while providing the academic resources to promote high quality practice and research. Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant 1 is responsible for unit level recruitment and onboarding functions of the College of Nursing-East Central Regional Hospital (CON-ECRH) partnership.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Recruitment and Onboarding

Prepares and process HR paperwork to create positions for the CON-ECRH partnership in accordance with the ECRH, Department of Nursing (DON) staffing plan; Screen applicants to include credential checks and validation; Schedule candidate interviews; communicates employer and CON-ECRH partnership information; Coordinates interview schedule with ECRH DON; Receives interview packets from hiring manager, conducts reference checks, and uploads documentation to OneUSG Connect; Notify new hire of orientation schedule, answers or refers employee questions; Participates in new employee ECRH orientation, provides CON-ECRH partnership contact information; Processes terminations/resignations via OneUSG Connect; Assists with updates and maintaining of the recruitment activity report to be presented at the AU-ECRH partnership monthly meeting; Participates in career fairs.

HR Actions and Documentation

Maintains employee personnel files (e.g. pcf, resume, licensure, cpr, other certifications); Scans Service Approval Forms to Occupational Health for pre-employment physicals; Provides support with updates and maintaining of the staffing plan and employee rosters; Coordinates employee required annual screening, in collaboration with ECRH Occupational Health; Serves as a liaison to field employee related questions and directs to appropriate resource (e.g. payroll concerns, workers compensation, time and absence); Provides administrative support for the annual performance review process; Prepares CON-ECRH clearance forms for terminating employees; Conducts exit interview for terminating employees; Updates and maintains various databases, spreadsheets, and reports.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years' progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions OR High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience working in an office setting; HR recruiter/generalist; SHRM certification.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights (8 and 12 hour shifts available); Rotating weekends.

Pay Band: 2

Salary: Minimum $15.77/hour - $18.89/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
