Job Description:
The Rockefeller Institute of Government is actively seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for the New York State Science Policy Fellowship. This crucial role involves overseeing the comprehensive administrative management of the Fellowship program, which includes full-time placements for Science Policy Fellows with senior policymakers in government offices, coupled with an educational component administered by the Rockefeller Institute. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to coordinate and assure smooth operations across all facets of the Fellowship program.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):
  • Strategically plan and execute work activities and events to ensure the seamless operation of both the educational component of the fellowship and the placements in government offices.
  • Compile data and draft written material to address reporting requirements, internal communications, and external outreach efforts.
  • Organize orientation sessions and monthly meetings for the educational component, including speaker scheduling in coordination with Institute staff and placement offices.
  • Collect program-related information from Fellows and placement offices, and proficiently draft materials for internal purposes and sponsors.
  • Assist with travel arrangements for the Fellows.


Requirements:
Required Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field with at least two years of progressive administrative management experience will be considered. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Key qualifications include excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Preferred: Master's degree in public administration or a related field and 5 years of progressive administration management.


Additional Information:
Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is $50,000.
