Project Coordinator for Victim Services and Interpersonal Violence Prevention

Reports to: Director of Student Conduct and Victim Services
Description: The Project Coordinator for Victim Services is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Violence Against Woman grant, develop and co-chair a Coordinated Campus Response Team, assist in the development and implementation of a healthy masculinity program
Responsibilities:
Assist with the implementation of the Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women grant
Assist in budget tracking for OVW Grant
50% of time spent on victim support services including referrals to campus- and community-based resources
Co-chair Coordinated Campus Response Team
Develop and implement curriculum for sexual and interpersonal violence prevention program
Assist with the implementation of campus programs and trainings
Serve as the ongoing liaison between campus stakeholders and community partners
Assist in the implementation and expansion of bystander intervention education program
Assist in the development and implementation of a healthy masculinity program
Assist in the review and development of policies, procedures and protocols as it relates to interpersonal violence
Assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of peer advocates
Participate in ongoing proactive technical training as required by the OVW grant
Assist with the supervision of a Graduate Assistant
Serve as an on call advocate for students
Preform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree in a relevant area: higher education administration, community health education, public health or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in the development and implementation of victim services and prevention programs and experience with crisis management, intervention and victim advocacy and support
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work some nights and weekends
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
High energy level, self-motivated and self-directed to design and implement programming and events
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Term of Employment: This position is limited term with grant funding through 9/30/2019.
